There is a legendary sword which has appeared throughout pivotal moments in known history. It has many names but since coming under the protection of the Croix Family it has become known as THE CROIX BLADE. In the wake of mysterious phenomena and an unexplainable sense of unease, chaos has gripped the continent of Astrumfel in recent weeks. This chaos has allowed the ambitious former soldier Jerof Deminin to rise to power as Prime Minister of The Empire of Soleilus. Now his small faction of supporters has grown to become a powerful force in the fractured empire still feeling the recent loss of its beloved long-time emperor.

Anya Croix is the daughter of a count of the small neighboring kingdom of Soraciel. She was the lone survivor of a bloody attack on her family’s estate by an enigmatic revolutionary only known as “King”, whose eye she managed to scar before his escape. Yearning to venture into the world and free herself from familial conflict she gets the chance when she realizes “King” and Jerof Deminin are one and the same. She then “borrows” the family’s treasured blade and leaves to confront Jerof and seek answers for those terrible events 10 years ago…
